Default Need a number or email address for data tech support

I have a few more days before I make my decision to drop AT&T. I want to give CS one more chance to redeem them selves. But I need a number or email address to talk to someone who would know his/her stuff with the my Blackjack II & AT&T/Dobson coverage & data. Please PM me if you need to. Thanks

I've always had good luck with the Tech Support Chat — at least with any technical questions I had.

Tried that already. They could not help me at all, and told me to call CS.

Bummer. From my rather limited experience it's hard to get a technically adept CS rep on the phone. All I can do is wish you good luck!

The Blackjack II has been the nicest smartphone I have used so far, nothing wrong with it. I am having problems with the network (Dobson). It is slow as a snail, and have had problems daily trying to connect. I don't think changing my device would help. I was thinking of a change in my data settings or account setting may help. I can't really exchange the device as I moved my CellOne account over to AT&T when I was in SoCal on vacation. All the stores in my area that could do the move didn't have the phone. It really stinks being in a fairly lame and backward area. I normally do things like this in Vegas, as the have the selection and knowledge.

Budney, after the first level of CS has done their part, have they not offered to transfer you to tech support to take it up from there? They should be able to verify the data settings with you.

How about this tutorial, have you looked at this?

Good luck, I really liked my Blackjack and the Blackjack II has many improvements over it, so I hope you do get to keep it.

I called CS the other night and got a lady who told me my problems are from me being in a weak coverage area. And that if I am not happy I was still in my 30 trail period so I could return the phone and cancel without penalty. The funny thing is my house is in line of site with the tower and I have full bars (-67dbm). I also finally got replies to my emails after four days of waiting, with very generic answers.

Thanks for the tutorial. A couple of settings were not quite right. Even before I changed them this morning I have been getting much better speeds (90-120kbps) today. I will have to see if they continue. Even if things improve I may just switch over to PAYG, or port my number some where else. I am not sure if the price I will be paying for two years is worth it with the less then stellar CS I have been receiving.

With due respect to to all the CS reps on the board, I have rarely received satisfactory technical support from any of the providers I have had. If I were you and everything else was satisfactor, I would just keep it. . Ofcourse PAYG is a good option also.

Same here! I have been with AT&T/Cingular, Sprint, & T-Mobile. I am just trying to see if I could find better help a little more quickly, as my 30 days are almost up. I am also dealing with bad internet too, not just CS. And I don't think any one here would pay good money for bad cell service.

Me too

I agree and that's why I don't have Verizon anymore since last Oct/Nov.

Let us know what you end up doing.

OT, what did you decide to do about the 6126? Atleast it will have the 1 year warranty from Nokia USA, my 6131 is not covered.

I am going to send it to Nokia. I don't think AT&T would help me with a CellOne phone.

Sure they will since AT&T now owns Dobson. Try calling CS and asking for Tier 2 support and request that the NOC (network operations center) get involved.
