Default AT&Ts Coverage Viewer

AT&T Coverage Viewer

AT&T was changing their coverage viewer on a monthly basis. Does anyone know if this is because they have cut back on tower expansion? Their last update was on May 31.

I have a feeling that is exactly why they havn't updated the map since then & with their 3G being expanded now along with network additions in the next 2 months, I think we will see an update by November-December.

I see a few areas in which I travel on my way to work that need to be updated on the map. They are only listed as having fair coverage on the current maps, but my RAZR V3xx now has 5 3G bars!

I am presuming there isn't a logical update sequence like once a quarter or we would have seen a 6/30 & 9/30 by now?.

Our area still shows no 3G & we have had 3G since mid May. I would think it would be in at&t's vested interest to update the maps more frequently to entice new customers & also to retain the existing.

Just my 2 cents

That's because they haven't been updating these maps for so long.

I would think they would do it every quater but with the lack of work on their systems this year, I think they just let it go.
I want instant gratification on these maps updated weekly to show their 3G & network build out progress, but it looks like they won't be helping me with this & they aren't even doing this by doing it quarterly to help.

Since I have been seeing a lot of news releases on network upgrades, I am hoping they will be updating these maps by the end of the year.

I can understand not updating in the areas that haven't had any changes but in the areas that 3G has been implemented & on a large scale at that, it does not make any sense to me to not "brag" about it.

About your "instant gratification", is this a recent afflication? When did you first notice it? Here, why don't you lie down on the couch & tell me all about it?

I agree they should keep up with the 3G upgrades as they have been doing it, it would look much better for them in the bigger picture. I guess they were afraid that by doing that only people would notice the lack of upgrades in their networks? That doesn't make much sense but who knows what these executives think, I know I have no clue.

As for my Instant Gratification, Sure I can lie down on the couch & talk about that and many other issues if you have time to listen to me, but be prepared to spend a lot of time listening.
I never had that problem, but a really good friend of mine has that problem & it seems to have rubbed off on me, I need to find a way to thank & complain about it to them since I do appreciate it due to how short life is, but it has put a crimp in my life on some things I want NOW.
It's hard to explain unless you have that desire.

Fire14, glad we agree that it does not make too much sense

Aah, I understand now, your friend is corrupting you big time & you are not putting up much resistance. Well, in the case sit back & enjoy the process.

I, too, agree(Charylee, I'm agreeing ) that it would be in AT&T's best interest to update the maps to reflect network additions/improvements and especially 3g upgrades since 3g is because more and more important to people when deciding on what network to chose.
