Default Razr purchased on ebay for Cingular service.

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a Razr from Ebay for Cingular service. I don't have the sim card to test it yet, as it's for my friend. Anyways, the phone powers up fine, etc. When I turn it off it says "Centennial Wireless." I googled them and they are a wireless company, etc, etc. My concerns are: 1) When I put the Cingular sim card into the phone, will everything work via Cingular? Voicemail, text, etc, etc. 2) Is it just the companys name that is on the phone, but since it will be a Cingular sim card, everything will work fine?

Thanks,
Emil

Well you should be able to use it to make calls IF the phone is unlocked. Any other feature would require you setting up the phone with Cingular's settings.

Yes, the phone is unlocked. So that means, text, voicemail, etc will work?

You will probably have to program the phone with the settings for those other features.

The "Wireless Answer Center" on the at&t website HERE is an excellent source of information regarding the setup of a phone to use their services.

So long as the phone is unlocked everything should work exactly the same. As ^^^^^ posted you may have to program some stuff in. The voicemail & text center numbers should go in automatically but MMS & Media Net settings probably won't.
