Default Adding a data plan

I am thinking about trying the Media Max 200 plan for a month or so. if i add it via my account on their website, how do the charges begin. it says that they begin immediately, but it doesnt reflect until my next bill cycle. so if i get the plan and try out the video feature, will i have a huge bill? or will it just not charge me until my next billing cycle?

By adding the new feature you agree to the applicable Terms and Conditions. Feature changes are effective immediately, but the monthly charge will not be adjusted until the start of your next bill cycle.

Default Re: Adding a data plan

Plan additions/changes are effective immediately. But if you want to try video, I would wait until the following calendar day just to be on the safe side. Billing systems bill per date and sometimes they have trouble identifying how to bill something if it happens on the same day the plan is effective. But theoretically, you can start using right after you press "Submit" on the website.

What they mean by "not charging until my next billing cycle" is that Cingular normally bills monthly rates in advance, but when you add a feature mid-cycle they have to bill it at the end of that cycle and then add the following month to it. So if you started your MediaMax on the 18th of the month and your cycle doesn't end until the 25th, the next time you get your bill you will be billed for both the partial month and the following month. So your bill will be higher than normal the first time.
