Default Question about which data plan to use with Blackjack

I am also a member on Howardforums, and just before I go and setup my new Blackjack and make a mistake based on just a few people's thoughts...I figured I would ask here as well.

This is what I want to use my BJ for on the internet: Outlook email, cnn.com, Google Maps, etc etc.

I DO NOT need it to connect my laptop to the internet or a business, or any of the Cingular Video things (for now).

What plan should I get? Some people have told me PDA Connect for 40 and some said the Media Max for 20 (which also includes text messages). I dont mind either one, I just don't want to choose MM and end up paying out the wazoo to surf the internet using MSIE.

We have members here who use the unlimited media net for $20. I use media net on my HP iPAQ 6515, and use internet explorer and such. I don't use outlook though. You may need a PDA or SmartPhone connect plan for outlook to work. You definately don't need a laptop connect plan though.

My suggestion is post your question in this thread:
http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/mi...mobile-phones/

You can also read the BlackJack thread as it may have the answers for you already posted.

You should get The Black Berry Personal Plan http://www.cingular.com/cell-phone-s...onal-plans.jsp
It'll give you unlimited internet and seems ideal if you aren't going to be trying to do Cingular Video or laptop tethering. Also on that link, it's showing $34.99 but it's $29.99 with voice plan.. and that will allow you to set up 10 ISP email accounts. Just follow that link, it has the info you need. It'll work on a Blackjack too, if the rep tries to argue just tell them to do it.

I don't think they will let a BB plan be provisioned on a Blackjack. The ones that are there for the likes of the blackjack are more expensive and are called Blackberry PDA connect Plans.

if you have to do things like Outlook then i would recommend staying away from the Media NET plans..........i have heard people who have had problems with Media NET not supporting all the features on PDAs and Smartphone like Push Email and XPress Mail...........i think the PDA and Smartphone Connect plans are more supportive.........and i think they price differently because some devices use more data because of different compressions............
