Just bought an 8125 and had it unlocked because I am an AT&T user. I've looked through this forum and many others to try to find an answer to my problem. By piecing together other posts and what has worked for others, I have the Edge settings working and can access my home WiFi OK. I can send text messages OK. I can not send or receive pictures via MMS and cannot send a Hotmail email (sits in outbox). The picture messages that I have tried to send indicate that they were sent but they never show up anywhere. Can you tell me what is wrong with my settings (see below)? ===================================== Settings ===================================== Media Net General Settings Tab: Media Net (name for settings) Modem Tab: Cingular GPRS proxy Connection Name: Cingular GPRS Select a Modem: Cellular Line (GPRS) APN: proxy User Name: (blank) Password: (blank) Domain*: (blank) Advanced: TCP/IP Tab: Marked – Use server-assigned IP address Check marked – Use IP header compression Servers Tab: Marked – Use server-assigned addresses Edit my proxy server Checked – This network connects to the Internet Checked – This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet Grayed Out – Proxy Server 10.250.250.54 Advanced: HTTP – 10.250.250.54 Port: 8080 User Name: (blank) Password: (blank) Domain: (blank) WAP Proxy – 10.250.250.54 Port: 8080 Secure WAP – Server (blank) Port: 9203 User Name: (blank) Password: (blank) Domain: (blank) Socks – Server: LocalHost Port: 1080 Type: Socks 4 User Name: (blank) Password: (blank) Domain: (blank) Inside MMS Configuration: Preferences tab: Checked marked: Retrieve messages immediately, Save sent messages, Allow delivery report, Allow read report (all others unchecked) Attempt before giving up: 3 Photo resolution: Original Servers Tab: AWS MMS Server Name: AWS MMS Gateway: 10.250.250.100 Port Number: 9201 Server address: http://mmsc.mymmode.com Connect via: The Internet (also tried The WAP Network) Sending size limitations: 300k WAP Version: WAP 1.2 (also tried WAP 2.0) |

The proxy is your problem in regards to device based email, you should be able to disable it without losing anything but the "mMode" homepage, in regards to the Media Messaging, I've been looking and I've seen no issues with your settings, are you sure you have MMS provisioned on your account? If you've not opted for pay as you go MMS or a Messaging plan then that could be an issue. You can double check your settings here http://myersmobile.com/ATTWSConfig.htm it's a better layout than the cingular at&t answer center. If none of this helps I would call Customer Care and have them walk you through the steps in regards to your MMS issue.
