I am thinking about replacing my SE T637, which is not broken. I do not use it to connect to the internet (at this time) but any replacement phone should have a good capability for this. I really want a loud and clear speakerphone and it should come loaded with much more ring tones than the Cingular T637 did. Camera is not really important and I won't use it as a music player (like the SE W810i). I am kind of partial to Sony Ericsson but LG phones seem to be good as well. I don't know about the other brands but I want to stay away from Motorola (bad experience) and I have heard that Sanyo is not that good. If I get a flip phone I would prefer that it have an internal antenna, like the SE Z525a. I am currently off-contract but I can get a 25% discount with my employer, which requires a 2-year commitment. I'm on a local plan and my bill is rarely over $35. I would love to hear some ideas and experiences. Thank you!

BTW, I want to stick with Cingular because, along with Sprint, it is the only carrier that works at my house.

you're extremely limited at this time, there are the two W series (300 and 810) and the z525a those are the only 3 that Cingular is selling natively. If you don't want to renew and don't mind paying retail for a phone then I would suggest looking at the Z710 you can find it on myworldphone.com it's quadband so it will work here in the states. Price isn't bad either at $210 for it unlocked and ready to rock, I just wished SE had a UMTS phone ready to go for the US market.

I don't believe the K790a is available as an American Phone yet in the sense that no carrier here sells it, also be very careful with the K790/K800 series, they both look the same and both are triband, ie one has 850 mhz and one has 900 mhz in their list of useable frequencies, if you don't have 850mhz here in the states you'll be in a lot of dead areas that only support that frequency.
