I'd like to get the Pantech C300 but have 6 months left on my contract with Cingular. Went to the store today and got an idea...I was wondering if the following would work: Buy a pre-pay (or GOPhone) Pantech C300 for ~$119 and use my current SIM (contract-based) with it. or are the pre-pay phones programmed differently than the regular contract phones, which would not allow me to use my Cingular contract SIM with a GOPhone phone? If I just buy it out right, it will be $219. I figured i could save ~$100. Last edited by mrsrank; 08-09-2006 at 9:26 PM. Reason: Clarify title |

Turns out, I like having a "backup" phone and I just keep it in my computer bag/briefcase with all my other junk, so I have it with me all the time. I sometimes use it as a GoPhone - this is not very expensive if you don't use it every day - or I swap cards if I need to use it a lot. | |
