Default How is Cingular as far as payment plans?

Hey guys, I have a question.. I have/had a family plan with my now EX-boyfriend. Anyway, long story short, I have a $400 phone bill I'm looking at, plus I want to get his phone turned off which is another $150.. I can't afford to pay that all in full. Do they usually let you pay little by little? I was even thinking about switching to another carrier so I could start fresh..what do you guys think?

Sorry to hear about your issue, but IMO.. Just try to deal with Cingular and call them.. Explain to them what went on, and they will work things out with you.. Remember that since you have a shared plan, you dont have to cancel the other line since its FREE.. You can always use that line and give it to someone else that you care about like your mother or someone else.

As for going to another carrier. Not a good idea. Not that I wanna keep you from doing that, but is because its only going to creat more issues and you will owe more and more money in the long run. Because if you do, not only you will be looking at $150 termination fee for your the line you wanted to close, but also for your own line unless you want to keep to lines one from each provider.. You see how things seem to get a bit confusing?

Just stay with who you have, and work things out thru Customer Service. and remember, one of your lines should be FREE already, unless you have more then 2 lines in your account, then why close it..

Take care..

Just call them and explain the situation. What they should be able to do is break his line off and make it his own account, then you'll only be responsible for your line. That's what a friend of mine did when she got divorced.
