With Cingulars DataConnect Plans, there is software available to connect your laptop to the internet available online here: http://www.cingular.com/business/connection_manager But software to get your PocketPC online with a DataConnect plan using BlueTooth is not available, so here's how to do it: Press Window: 1) select Settings 2) select Connections 3) select To make a new connection 4) Select name of connection and for Bluetooth select Bluetooth dialup modem 5) In the dialup setup use *99***2# as the dialup number. click next (may change 2 to 1 or 3) 6) For username enter WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM 7) For password enter CINGULAR1 8) Leave the Domain blank and click finish* * Under advanced settings you may want to change the Baud rate under the general tab to 115200 Be Gentle: It's my first post (and I don't have a phone with BlueTooth, a DataConnect plan, a MEdia Works plan, or a PocketPC, in fact what the heck do I know about this anyway?) |
