When I sign into my account on the website.....there is a link to "Upgrade Phone" WOW....I thought.....I can do this online without having to deal with a sales person. Nope. I picked my phone (v400), rate plan (Nation 450/5,000 N&W), etc. The next screen is just page cannot be displayed. I also got a bunch of wierd script error stuff. I tried to pick a different plan by going back. It said it couldn't change my plan without finishing my transaction. Click the link to continue your transaction. Okay...I clicked it and bam....looks like I'm going to accept the agreement....verify my shipping address (filled in already since I am already a customer) and enter CC info to pay for the phone. I click submit. ERROR...birthdate must be in mm/dd/yyyy form. I was like what!?!? BIRTHDAY is in a section called credit information. This was mostly filled in already, and greyed out so I cannot change anything (sounds right....credit checks is for new customers) So I said okay...I called the number. I was told there couldn't be anything wrong with the website (big mistake to say something like that without checking!) but let me transfer you to retentions. HOLD...about 5 minutes. Sir? Yes. It appears that department is closed....call 866-689-1876 tomorrow and they will honor the internet "deals" going on. *Sigh* It was a bad move to tell me nothing was wrong with the site WITHOUT checking. Pages not being able to display usually means something is loused up. I don't know....maybe this is a sign for me not to upgrade. We'll see what retentions has to say tomorrow. |

Cingular's site isn't the greatest. Go to a corporate store in your area, if you have one. I believe they will honor the online sales/prices. And that way you can deal with someone face to face, and get the phone that day. I hope you don't have to do it by phone.

Now when I go to Cingular's site...all I get is the orange background colors and "<script type="text/javascript" src="http://a111.g.akamai.net/f/111/2897/5m/www." written in plain black text at the top of the screen I wish that survey would pop up again wanting feedback of the site. I would give all the questions a 0 for poor. | |

That's odd that they will not match the online price. Usually commissions and quotas will drive store managers to match online deals. I know ATT matched on online offer when I tried them out in June.

I'm wondering how many of the stores you went to were actually corporate? It is very hard to tell some dealers stores from corporate stores. I can't believe none of them would honor the price, as Matt said "that's odd".
