I am getting tired of "call failed"'s popping up at least 1-2 times a day. At first I thought it was my v400, but I was wrong. It happens even more with the nokia 3200! "Error in Connection" is what it says. I am in good signal areas too. Cingular has great reception in many areas, but the network isn't reliable with this call failed crap.

I only get this where the signal is weak. It doesn't happen where signal is good.

I feel you on that one, that's one message you'd hardly ever get on a European GSM network. At what times of day do you experience this? Sure doesn't sound like a faulty switch or a messed up tower.

Happens anywhere, anytime. I am hardly ever in low signal environments too. This happens whenever, wherever, and I usually have 5/5 bars. It's happened at my house, .2 miles from the tower, on the road right near the tower, out in the boonies with good signal too. Just anywhere...and I am getting annoyed.

If this is happening when you are not just near the 1 tower then there is either a network issue or maybe a SIM problem, since you have had it on 2 different phones. Have you called Cingular on this? I know with AWE we can fill out an online report about these & other issues & they do correct them, hope Cingular keeps that feature.

No, I haven't called yet. I probably should, since Cingular seems to take complaints with sincerity, unlike Verizon. They fixed the local GPRS problem quickly when I reported it. I'd just like to mention that this problem never happened with ATT wireless.

My experience is that "call failed" is a temporary tower problem, i had this for about 1 month. Then it just went away.
