Today I went to my local Cingular store to get an upclose look at the 8125. They did not have any. They told me that Cingular had to recall all of the ones that had been sold to do an update and that they would be relaunched Monday. Sounds fishy to me. Most "Smart Phones" can be updated by downloading new firmware. I am wondering if they are trying to disable any features. They disabled the 2125's WiFi and IRDA... I wonder if they are doing the same with the 8125. Also with the 2125, can you update the firmware to enable WiFi? |

They were recalled due to some incompatability issues with 3G SIM's. I think its better for Cingular to flash them then to leave it up to the end users to do this. No features are being disabled in either device. |

I am in need of help. I've down loaded the SVP info...get my meaning. I have tried to unlock my cingular 2125, that I bought off ebay, the box never had been opened. I'm really trying to figure it out. For someone who is a junky on news groups, I'm stumped and would like some help. Some where to call and pay a fee or just some program that unlocks the things. Yes, I'm ATT all you can eat at 99 dollars a month, won't ever change! So HELP. HOW |

As for the Unlocking question, I believe you need to send it to someone to have it unlocked, your best bet would be a Google search, since a company needs to have the ability to unlock this phone & being fairly new it may take a few different sites to find one that can. The company I have used in the past doesn't list this phone, but you can email him to see if he can do it or not, here is the web address: http://www.unlockmyphonenow.com/ | |

How do I set it up to synchronize with my exchange at work? I got the vpn setup and isp.cingular, but I can't quite figure out the way to setup an exchange account in the PDA's Outlook. I had no problem getting my gmail - but it is POP3. Also how do I ensure that Outlook is going to use a correct connection. my other one is wap.cingular gprs

I'm not quite sure how to set it up in pocket outlook, but I do know that cingular xpressmail supports it. Edit: This link may seem helpful, apparently you don't set it up with pocket outlook but airsync http://www.pocketpcmag.com/_archives...irections.aspx Last edited by nKrypteD1; 08-28-2006 at 9:01 PM. For the wifi I don't know if the hardware is present in the 2125 so not sure, there are a few sites dedicated to this phone keep looking, flash is installable via macromedia's website, and as far as the software there's a ton of stuff you can install that cna make your experience more enjoyable, just keep looking.
