My sister had to use it once. She had to have her car towed. The tow truck was there in less than 20 minutes and towed her car to the garage she requested. She did not have to pay a dime. She raved about it. That is the only feedback I have on it personally.

Sounds pretty good and for only $2.99 a month? Wonder if it only covers the subscriber's vehicle, or family? Have to read up about it on Cingular's site

The brochure says it covers the cell phone user in any light car or truck as long as they have the phone with them.

I used to have it (got it for free when I worked for Cingular). I only used it once. We had a party and someone locked their keys in the car... I called and had my phone there.

Other than that I never heard any one rave about it... even working in a Cingular reatil store.

We were going to use ours the other night for a jump start and the garage wanted 75.00 for the jump which meant it was going to cost us 25.00 so i just went and bought some jumper cables for 6 bucks at walmart.

It saved my butt just before Thanksgiving. I was in the middle of nowhere on an interstate when the engine blew in my car. Stuck on an exit ramp to nowhere. Called them, and they had a tow truck there in less than 30 minutes.

They pay up to $50. In my case, the tow was $100 total, because of the distance I was from the tow company. But, all I had to do was hand the guy $50 and the other half was already covered. I was impressed with the whole experience, including the professionalism shown by the lady who took my call, and the fact that they called back three times to make sure that everything was ok, and that the tow truck arrived and all were safe.

I also let an employee use it to have her car unlocked after locking her keys in it. The coverage follows the phone...whoever has the phone is covered. So I dialed the number and handed her the phone. They had her going in less than 15 minutes, and it didn't cost her a dime.

Paying $2.99 a month may seem like a lot for something you don't know if you'll need, but when you need it , it's money well spent, and like I said, I'll rave on and on about the great service I received.

Woah haha all these years I always thought it was just some type 24/7 support system if you were lost or wanted directions.
