Why did they go into testing (some of the test phones showed up on eBay), why were Nokia reps bringing the 6282 around to the stores this spring for the managers to become familiar with it, why was it on the rebate sheet and why did Cingular distribute flyers on the phone to at least some stores? Seems to me that there was some major indecision here. Some parts of the company were working toward a launch in May/June/July. Then they decided to pass. All academic, really, but it doesn't make them look too good and adds to the frustration of us gadget freaks.

Maybe it is all procedural stuff. Maybe they had to go through the testing procedure anyway in order to gather everything they wanted to change on the phone and then send that info back to Nokia. I'm sure adding 850 is not the only thing they want to change on it.

Bobolito: I think I posted my question in the wrong place. I was talking about the Samsung zx20. I wanted to know when and if this phone is coming out. After exhausting research and racking my brains about this I think we are going to stay with Verizon but we are taking the year contract instead of the two year. I appreciate all the feedback I got from everyone. Thanks to all. Nancy |

For those of you waiting for the 6126, it will no longer be in Cingular stores for July 5th.

OK, thanks for the heads-up. This is really going to be cutting it close for me - I posted in another thread about my informal agreement with Cingular to get the 6126 at the discount price. I need it to come out by July 19! Eek! I mean

It's not $100 bucks you'll be saving, its $82.

I decided to pay full price when it comes out. I totally refuse getting a 2-yr contract and if I buy it at the 1-yr price is only $32 cheaper than buying it full price, all because of the much hated $18 upgrade fee. So, I rather pay $32 more than the 1-yr price and be able to continue contract-free.

Is the silver pink a special color for Cingular? Just curious. Thanks much...
