That's why I was asking about what had happened to it. I agree with you about the battery life on the 6126, though. Must be those big high res displays SteveW

Phonescoop says that the 6126 lacks FM Radio, but Nokia says it does. Several things I like about this phone already: - Button to open the flip. I can imagine with the design of this phone it must be hard to open it without some helping mechanism. - Bluetooth stereo headset support. I don't have to be confined to the bulky pop port. - Convenient MicroSD slot location. You don't have to power off the phone to remove/insert the car. Surprisingly some manufacturers have designed several phones out there that require you to remove the battery to have access to the MicroSD card. Stupid! - Works without a SIM card! Yep. Finally, a phone you can use its non-wireless features without having to insert a SIM card! Now, let's hope the bottomline works as good too. In other words, no buggy software, great reception and great earpiece volume and call quality.

I guess the good thing about waiting until July for the 6126 is that we may have some user reviews of both phones by then - given that the 6282 is released by the beginning of June, as everyone thinks, and since Nokia reported yesterday that they have begun shipping the 6126's European twin, the 6131. Hopefully the folks on PhoneScoop will put the 6131 into their main database so we can accumulate some user reviews/ratings ! SteveW

As I state in my disclaimer, all posted launch dates are estimated and can change at any time. So don't be surprised if they turn out to be incorrect. Also, sometimes there may be a phone with a posted release date, but still this does not guarantee that Cingular will ever release it. They may change their mind at the last minute and kill the phone.

According to Phonescoop, Cingular scrapped the N80 and 6282 because they don't have WCDMA 850. Cingular wants to ensure all phones have WCDMA 850. So I say that's a good move on Cingular's part. They don't want to make the same expensive mistake AT&T Wireless did. Cingular asked Nokia for revised versions that include WCDMA 850. When are these manufacturers going to learn that 850 is as important as 1900?
