Images: 293 | That's right it was a feature they offered with the AT&T Credit card (I couldn't get it) And I wonder if any other cards do cover Cellphones & what you would have to do to get it covered?

I really don't know - I just "discovered" this awhile back, as I recalled that it also provides for some free "prepaid" calling time each month (30 minutes) and so I had pulled out the documentation to take a look at it.

This Nokia phone comes out on 04/17 http://www.nseries.com/index.html#l=products,n75 It's a pretty nice phone, I saw it a trade show. It's got a soft rubber exterior on the front cover though the guy there said it'd be tougher in the released version. |

I am wondering if anyone has looked at the SonyEricsson Z750i? This phone seemingly runs all networks as follows: EDGE GSM 850 GSM 900 GSM 1800 GSM 1900 HSDPA UMTS 2100 Wondering if Cingular's 3G on the 1900MHz will work... |

| Quote: Not sure where you heard this rumor, but I wouldn't be too sure about anything regarding the release date of this phone. The special HoFo thread created solely to discuss the release date of this phone, was started in December 2006 (after much speculation in other threads) and now is over 2500 posts on 168 pages. I just scanned a few recent pages and found rumors of the N75 release ranging from this week to June. If you want to have a laugh, go back and read the posts from January or February where people confidently gave various release dates. SW

| Quote: Well, not to say I told you so, but 4/17 has come and gone, and of course the N75 is still MIA. On some sites the rumor is that Cingular delayed the release of the N75 because it allows you to download and run applications for buying music and ringtones that bypass the services that Cingular controls. According to this theory, Cingular asked Nokia to alter the phone's software and Nokia refused. Now they are each waiting for the other to blink. The other day I stopped into a local independent Cingy dealer and chatted with the manager. He told me the "inside story" which was a variation on the first rumor. According to theory 2, the bad guy is none other than Samsung. Apparently, the Samsung Blackjack and some other new Samsung phones use (or will be able to use) the new Cingular/Napster/Yahoo music service. The N75 would also be capable of using this and Samsung has some contractual exclusives that are preventing Cingular from releasing it, since Samsung doesn't want the competition. Can't verify any of this. SW

So does that mean that the N75 will be on hold until the exclusive contract with Samsung is over? How long will that be?

Wow they sure did not pay attention to the branding. on the center pad it has the Cingular jack and on the back it has the at&t brand name.

LOL! That's because I got the pictures from two different sources. The open-flip picture of the at&t phone also has the globe icon inside, but this one with the orange jack is a much better looking picture showing the open flip. But if you want, I can change it for the at&t globe just like I removed the hand that was holding the phone. ...and by the way, in the closed-flip picture, that's not the back of the phone.

I don't know and didn't ask. I don't really think this person has high-level knowledge, or any firm dates. He is probably just repeating what a manufacturer's rep told him. It's all rumor and could be self-serving. SW
