Also the A845 only does WCDMA (UMTS) but doesn't do HSDPA which would limit your download speed to 386kps.

Images: 1 | There are dual SIM adapters out there that can be used. Check on Ebay. Remember, in some, you might need to trim both SIMs to fit into the adapter. I have heard many do it but one thing is that both lines can be active at the same time and you would have to do a switch between the two as needed.

BUT, how do you switch between line? Do you know of anyone who has done it with whom I could consult? Did you mean to say that both lines CAN be active at the same time or was this a typo? I have heard that there is a way that you can receive both lines simultaneously but only transmit on one line or the other. Do you know if this is correct? Thanks. Quote:

| I hope this is actually released, for the sake of all the HoFo posters who haven't yet given up on this latest object of technolust. However, I'll believe this when I see it. This is truly amazing. The 6126 is so last year. I think the first discussions about it were in late 2005. As you know, Charlyee broke down and got her unbranded 6131 in June, 2006. I wanted this thing once, and if I hadn't gotten 2 phones since then, and hadn't been convinced that the unbranded 6131 is much better and hadn't left Cingular in disgust, I might want it still. SW

Is this Cingular's version of TMobiles Samsung Trace? If Cingular does decide to go with this phone, I hope they would allow customers to add insurance to it upon purchasing it. The Trace is so fragile that people are breaking it just by carrying it in their pockets.

Unfortunately, insurance works the other way around. If the phone is too fragile, then it poses too much loss risk for insurance companies and if that's the case they won't insure it. If the phone is tough, hard to break/lose, and cheap to replace, then chances are they will insure it. Their logic is just reversed.

Just a quick post to alert Nokia fans that AT&T/Cingular has, in fact, released the long-awaited Nokia 6126. Bobolito has updated his earlier post (Know about any AT&T phones coming soon? Post here!) to reflect this. IMHO, too little too late, as I've said earlier. Still, some may appreciate that this is available from a major US company. From the Cingular website: Nokia 6126 Price........................ $229.99 2-yr Contract Price......$79.99 *Online Price............. $79.99 SW

The other thing is getting insurance thru the carrier you will get a replacement within a day or 2 vs homeowners you just get a check & still have to buy one. I had insurance once, but when I factored in the cost per month & deductiable it was cheaper to buy an Unlocked phone on Ebay. Now with a phone on the high end like the PDA's or new high priced phones it makes sense to me. I guess it all depends on which type of phone you want & use.
