Arrow Voicemail indicator?

I got a Voicemail yesterday afternoon. I checked it and deleted it immediately. This morning my voicemail indicator is still on. When I call in I get "You have no messages". I've rebooted the phone and it still shows as having non-existing mail. Is this a system glitch that will fix itself or do I need to call Customer Service?

Check to see if you have any saved messages.

Nope, no saved messages either. I also just took the battery and sim card out of the phone and left them out for 1 minute. I reinstalled everything and turned the phone on. 30 seconds later the VM indicator came back on...

Like Darryl suggested just call C/S and have them reprovision your settings...

I know this probably doesn't make a difference, but I'm an Orange customer, but at work I'm logged into the Blue network. As a matter of fact I don't think I've been on the Orange network since I got the VM yesterday.

My Voicemail Indicator stays on until all messages are erased (even saved ones). The old voicemail system didn't operate this way; saved messages never caused the indicator to appear.

On my new Cingular Razr, I don't get any vm indiactors staying on for an extended period.

The only time I did was yesterday when I kept a saved message and after I erased it and ended the vm call, the indicator was gone.

I didnt think it would make a difference what network you're on, but oh well. It still wouldn't hurt to call CS

Nope, no difference. I logged onto Orange and rebooted the phone and the VM indicator is still there. I'll call tonight.

I wonder if this is somehow connected to a problem with the HLR/VLR (Home/Visitor Location Register) you were connected to. It keeps track of all calls made/received as well as any SMS sent/received, VMs and network traffic between the phone and the network.

My Dad text messaged me 3 times yesterday, He was in a class at work learning how to use his new Treo 650. I still don't think this makes a difference though. I'm just going to have to call tonight.

If I get a VM and listen to it and hit "2" to save it.....my VM indicator goes away, usually within 10-20 seconds of hitting "2" or ending the call.

I was so busy that night I didn't call CS, but the next moring 2 calls went to VM before I woke up. After I deleted them it finally went away.

Sometimes it is necessary to do that in order to reset the phone's voicemail status. Next time you get a stubborn VM indicator, just leave yourself a voicemail and then delete it.
