Premiere Discount

I have 2 lines....typed in my work email...I don't qualify

Typed in my girlfriends email and she qualifies. I call CS and the girl says to go to cingular.com/discounts because she couldn't find anything on her workplace with a discount, etc in the computer system. She said if we qualify, it wouldn't have to be for new service...that the discount would apply right away.

So I have the girlfriend click the link to see what it is about. I had her stop and close out the window.....it wanted me to agree to a new service agreement CS forgot to mention that small little detail

Needless to say, I didn't agree. Anyone know how big a discount that could have been? Would it be worth agreeing to ANOTHER 2 year deal?

I was just talking to the Cingular small business sales office today as I was looking into creating a corporate account to save $. The employees who recieve discounts will get 5% off plans 39.99 & up, and "special discounts" on equipment.

P.S. - yes it will extend your service contract...

Did it say it had to be a 2 year contract or a 1 year? I know most FAN accounts do allow 1 year contracts and if it does, then it might be worth it.
I just found out I can qualify for the same 5% bill discount & a 25% equipment discount from them thru the fire dept. which I thought might be better, especially after I told them Sprint is offering us 21%, Verizon & Nextel are offering 10%.
I am going to the store with the offer Sprint is giving us & see if they will do better then the 5%, if not I agree it's not worth the $3.00 a month if they only apply it to the main line, if they do it for the total bill before taxes I would see a $6.00 discount, but if they can put me on a 1 year contract, it might be worth it.

If they apply it to your blue account would be better as it's 5% off everything (not that much more ) but it opens up the NBO phones so you can stay on the blue side with the better plans.

When I was speaking to the salesperson I was told that employees would have to sign for 2 years.

I agree then, it's not worth it at this point especially until the integration gets done to confirm if the network is better or not. I know when the time comes & I do migrate I would rather spend the extra money for the phones & get a 1 year contract, so if anything ever caused me to want to leave, it would be easier due to the shorter time span.
