Ok so my dad recently renewed his contract and once again *messed his phone up*. Cingular won't replace it or whatever (its a broken LCD screen), but yeah, my question: Can a Post Paid accound SIM card be used in a GoPhone bought at somewhere like target? My dad asked me about it, and I told him I'd find out for him (by asking on here of course), but in his infinate wisdom he calls CINGULAR and asks them... and then he wonders why the CSR got smart w/ him for asking that question??... lol but anyway, Can it be done?

Yes, your dad can go get a Pre-Paid kit and stick his Post-paid SIM in the phone. Their is no differance with Pre & post-paid Cingular phones.

Good, thanks for the info. He called Cingular... (for no reason) and the guy told him "Nice try", and that he couldn't use his sim card in it, that it would be a waste of money. <-- 1 More reason I'm thankful to have stumbled upon WA! |

I have read about CS reps saying things like that over a HoFo.
