New iPhone features speculation

It is rumored that a new iPhone will be coming out this June/July as happened last year. Personally, coupled with the new free 3.0 firmware also due in June, I don't expect much in the way of hardware changes.

I do read that the plastic back may be replaced with a 'soft paint' backing (over polycarbonate) similar to the Innocase and Nokia 6131 cases. That would be more scuff resistant and give more grip to the phone.

These other possibilities came out of a Chinese web site. They would make sense, but again, not major hardware changes...there isn't much too out there(competition wise) to compete against. Unless they make a less featured, much smaller phone.

So from the Chinese site:

- 600MHz CPU Speed (up from 400MHz)
- 256MB RAM (up from 128MB)
- Digital Compass and FM
- 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus
- 32GB size
- No major changes in battery, screen and external casing.
