Apple Sets March 17 Date for iPhone OS 3.0 Software

Apple has sent invitations to journalists to attend an event on March 17 in which it will preview iPhone OS 3.0. No details about what the new OS will include were provided. The event will be held at 10AM PST / 1PM EST

Rumor that it will include Picture Messaging, MMS + tethering (usb and BT)

And with a little luck from the Irish (March 17th) we may get all that we want; cut and paste, etc...

Yeah,

Cut and paste would be nice. And a reasonably priced tethering option would be great.

These are the confirmed additions coming with firmware 3.0 for the iPhone 3G. Free and due out in June of 2009
