By the way, the Oregon Trail reminds me of the first computer I used: Apple IIe.
Apple IIe... I used those in high school, but my first real programming experience was I taught myself BASIC on my Commodore 64 when I was like 11 or 12.

I would play text adventure games like Planetfall! and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for hours. I can remember it now... I had to take off my robe and hang it on the hook, open the satchel and remove the towel. Place the towel on the floor drain, place the satchel on the shelf, and place the mail on the satchel before I pushed the button on the babel fish dispenser... I would get so pissed when I got that far and realized I had left the mail on the porch at home...
