This is the handset I would get with Alltel... or, should I say, the handset I will get with Alltel when they finish their acquisition of Western Wireless. (If it's still available then.)

Yeah, I like the Motorola V265. I think it's one of ALLTEL's better and more attractive phones. I'd seriously consider it if I was signing up for service through ALLTEL.

I don't really have a choice, when Alltel finishes it's buyout of Western Wireless, if I want to keep my employee plan I'll have to sign up with Alltel.

ALLTEL is a good company so I don't think you will be disappointed with them. By the way I was at a ALLTEL store the other day and saw the Kyocera SoHo in person and it's actually not bad looking. It's much more attractive when you see it in person then what it looks like online in pictures. I still wouldn't own it I believe but it's not that bad of a looking phone and it does have a good price.

Nope, I don't think I will be. They seem to be a pretty good company to work for and once I get my hands on that Motorola handset, they'll be a good company to have service with, too!

A friend of mine just got a white SoHo... it actually doesn't look that bad, really. The caller ID info on the front when closed is sideways, so that's a little weird but not a bad phone IMHO. It's a lot less ugly in white and in person for some reason.
