My e815 has been acting funny all evening not getting good reception and dropping calls in places where I have always gotten good signal. so i knew it was probably time to update my towers. I did this and now my phone say no service and is not picking up any type of signal no matter what i try! I dont know what to do. I cannot call alltel or even my voicemail from it. this is my only line of communication besides the internet obviously... please I will take any suggestions! panic is setting in! thanks in advance.

Haha. It's possible it could be the Verizon updates.

Or if you have your phone set to "home only", but are not in your home area.

It could be any one of those things, tis true. It is an E815 meaning it's got to be a couple of years old. The average lifespan of a cell phone is right about that. It sounds like it has served you well so I'd recommend letting it have a peaceful retirement and look into a new handset.
