Default Alltel Internet format?

I have internet on my laptop through Alltel. Its a USB with a antenna. I want to get this router....http://www.kyocera-wireless.com/kr1-...tech-specs.htm
but I need to know what format Alltel internet is before hand so I can check compatibility .

It comes in the universal Internet Protocol flavor that TCP, UDP, HTTP, etc., ride on top of.

If you're speaking of the radio side, Alltel uses the CDMA digital modulation that this Kyocera router supports (by attaching a PCMCIA card or USB teathered phone).

I've read the KR1 and KR2 manuals, and preferred the former. Basicly, you want to insert the router between your laptop and your USB dongle. You'll have to be able to talk through the router for configuring the USB dongle (or that's already done, since you're using it). After that, you just use it.

The KR1 manual says it expects a teathered phone to be at the end of the USB connection. You have a chance to lead here.
