| I have my phone and the "add a line" phone that I got. My fiance is breaking up with me and i'm not going to pay her phone bill. i don't care about the phone or any of that is there a way to move that phone /number to its own account that she can put under her name? |

You can get the form at Alltel.com by clicking on the link for FAQ's, typing change of responsibility in the search box and running a search. The first link in the list of returned matches is the one you want; it contains general instructions, a link to the form and where you can mail it once it is complete (or you can turn it in at a sales office and they'll send it in for you). It takes several business days to complete and could result in a deposit on the new account.

| if you supplied your own phone for the second line instead of signing a contract, you might be able to cancel that line without penalty and avoid some paperwork. most folks sign the contract to get the discount on a new phone though. |

Also, did everybody realize you can't take the company to court? By the Terms and Conditions, you agreed to binding arbitration for any disputes. As I tell customers all the time, you want to read the fine print.

| and he's right about the arbitration clause. whether it's "terms and conditions" or a contract, it's BINDING and it ain't going to be decided in any court. I did read yesterday, though, that congress is pressuring the cell companies into some sort of deal to eliminate the early termination fees. Seems that someone who cancels with 2 months to go on a 2 year agreement shouldn't be penalized the same as someone who cancels two months after signing up. |

It will be interesting to see how it plays out, but it's a LONG way from realization.
