I have a new PPC-6700 from Alltel, and it has the Wireless Modem app on it. I can run that, and the latop detects it as a USB modem, but I have no drivers. Anyone know where I can get the Windows XP drivers to use this phone as a wireless modem? Thanks |

The user guide says select, do not detect my modem, I will it from a list. Then, in the manufacturers list, select Standard Modem Types then Standard 33600 bps Modem, then click next. Select the port you want to install the drivers on then click next, then finish. When you check the modems tab in the Phone and Modem Options dialog box, a Standard 33600 bps Modem appears in the modem list. I copied this straight from the manual... hope it helps.

Thanks for the info. I don't see Standard Modem Types anywhere though, so I'll continue investigating.

| Quote: The info is also on the Getting Started CD; it is pretty buried though...Part of the path includes going the OEM folder and finally to Drivers...there is a MS Word doc that gives instructions and a CDMA dialer program that your computer can use to connect with the PPC. | |
