Default virgin mobile

I am planing to buy a virgin mobile phone. i checked the coverage for the address and it says no service but i am assuming that it is probably just for the cdma 1900 service. because i plan to buy a cdma dual-band 800/1900mhz cell phone which i figure since verizon uses the cdma 800/1900mhz towers and any other that offers the cdma 800/1900mhz tower that i could roam off towers that support the cdma 800/1900 phone i plan to buy. So as long as i buy a 800/1900 phone then my virgin mobile phone will get service even though it has listed no coverage(like i said that probably shows only the 1900mhz band) so if i get a dual band phone i should be able to use other cell phone companies' towers that support 800/1900 band right?

Default Re: virgin mobile

Virgin Mobile uses the Sprint network only, operating on 1900 MHz CDMA. Virgin Mobile does not allow roaming (Sprint does on most of its plans). The only way you would use the 850 MHz CMDA carriers is during an emergency call to 911, in a Sprint no-signal area.
