I just bought a KM1 KRZR online which is promised to be in like-new condition with nothing done to it (this means it's supposed to be locked still).

I heard that even if it's a phone listed on metropcs.com they won't always accept it. I'm not sure I understand this concept and was wondering if somebody could explain the compatibility. I really hope I can use this phone with Metro and I won't need to send it back.

It "must" be made for Metro PCS. Metro uses cdma technology which means it does not use a sim card. locked or not does not apply to Metro PCS.

If when you turn it on, it doesn't say "Hello hello hello...permission to speak freely" then unfortunately you may need to send it back.
