HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wireless subscribers who are calling for a return to the basics now have an easy-to-use, affordable handset that boasts style and practicality -- the UTStarcom CDM7026 mobile handset available now to Cricket® customers. UTStarcom Personal Communications is a division of UTStarcom, Inc. (Nasdaq: UTSI - News), a global leader in IP-based, end-to-end networking solutions and services, and wireless devices.

The CDM7026 is a compact, lightweight clamshell device featuring an internal antenna, large main display and a host of fun features, such as Web access for ringtones and graphics and downloadable games through Cricket Games & Apps. Customers can stay tuned in on the go with the CDM7026, as it offers users quick access to their contacts, calendar, and news, sports, email and weather via the WEB browser.

Simple and functional, the dual-mode CDM7026 weighs a mere 3.1 ounces, and measures 3.7" (h) x 1.9" (w) x 0.7" (d). The device offers 32MB Flash and 8MB RAM memory. Equipped with the MSM6050 chipset, the phone is GPSOne capable/e911 compliant.

CDM7026 sports a 1.8" 65K color main display screen and text messaging capabilities. The device supports multiple ringtone audio formats including QCELP, EVRC, MIDI and MP3 and image formats such as BMP, GIF, JPEG, and PNG.

The handset offers bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) and comes equipped with other popular advanced features such as voice-activated dialing, built-in speakerphone, polyphonic ringtones, a 500-entry phone book, predictive text capability with a T9 dictionary, and one preloaded demo game, Millionaire by Capcom.
