I have seen a lot of the CECT phones on eBay. They look like a direct iPhone knock off and I was wondering if anyone had first hand experience with one of these devices or if anyone had heard favorable or unfavorable news about the phones.

Dual SIM card slots, Micro SD, and a replaceable battery for starters, and an affordable price point certainly make the phone look interesting. I did notice that it doesn't have the built in memory of the iPhone.

When you buy a knockoff, you get a knockoff. I am not a huge fan of these things. You get no support what so ever, and it is a clone. Save yourself the headache, and get a real iPhone.

I would caution people from getting these as well. On another note though I would like to try this out and see what it is all about.

How does the device compare to other phones for the price? I'm not expecting it to be anything special, but I am looking to replace my GSM phone which I use for a second line and the amount I would use the phone doesn't justify my spending the money to buy an iPhone.

I do have plenty of other phones that I'm considering, but this looked like an interesting device so I was just curious to hear some feedback.

IF you get one make sure you get the Quad band and the updated version with the slide to unlock like the iphone.

I did a bunch of research on the phone as I thought my daughter would like it. Pluses to this clone is 4 built in speakers and it can MMS which a real iphone can not. The battery is removeable, dual sims which wont help many unless some one had 2 GSM carriers.

The one major draw back is the lack of internal memory and the UI is alittle lacking.

Thanks, I'll see what I can find. I am a little curious as to how durable the clones are. The lack of internal memory doesn't bother me a lot but I am curious to see the UI in action.

I was about to by one of these clones

They sell really good on Ebay (like in the first post) My buddy sold his in about 5 hours and made about $150 off it.
