Problem with Connection Manager

I installed Sprint Communication Manager on my PC. I plug the phone (Sanyo
4900) in via the USB cable. When I run Comm Manager and click on "GO",
after few moments I get an error message:

Connection Failure
Internal Authentication Error

Does anyone know what this means?

I am able to use the SnapSync program to download phone numbers from Outlook
to the phone, so I know the cable works. In fact, when I run Comm Manager I
can see the program communicating with the phone on the phone's screen.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?
