| Hi, I posted this same mesage on another forum but got no response, perhaps here someone has experience. ======= I want to connect my lap top (has a built in analog modem) or PDA (also has an external analog modem) to a AT&T phone to get my e-mail form any ISP using POP3 mailbox. Within the GSM/GPRS area the Siemens S46 can download the e-mail. But if I want to download large attachments I want to use my computer. My confusion: The Laptop has a built in analog modem. The S46 is a digital phone (it has no attachement to the RJ11 modem cable) Do I use the the analog modem or the digital modem in the S46? Data sheets on S46 do not explain the details. AT&T wireless store people have no clue, AT&T phose support are totally lost on this. Anyone knows? Can I make this work in side the GSM/GPRS only? Can I make it work in the TDMA area? My ISP and cell phone are AT&T. Any suggestins how to do that while I travel virtually all over the US (big cities and out in the boonies)? Thanks, NGAT |

| http://att1-svca.www.conxion.com/DownloadPro.html This was very easy set up. I tried to go thru my own ISP as well, but this was so easy, I went with it. Hope it helps. |

Download speeds are about 53K on the GPRS network through the phone...good but not great. Anyone getting faster throughput using the aircard? I am considering switching. |
