Got to Play with a 5300!

Well I got to briefly play with a 5300 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I didnt mess around with the ringers but mainly with the camera. My impressions of the phone is that it is built solid, has an amazing screen by far the best i have ever seen! The menu interface is gorgeous. the camera is excellent. Only took still pictures they came out very nice......didnt try any motion ones. Also you can close the phone and then the external screen becomes your viewfinder so you can aim the camera at yourself and a friend and take pics cause you can see the camera aimed at yourself! Then email them. The sanyo rep also said that the external caller ID can support photo caller ID! The keypad is still a green colour not blue.

Where were you when you got to play with it? When is it going to be out? I thought all the Sprint stores only had the dummy model... at least that's what the Sprint store that I talked to said. Please let me know.

Do you know if this phone comes with a USB cable? I read somewhere that there is an included USB cable... that would be sweet! Also, who do you think will have this phone for sale first? I'm patiently waiting to get a new phone and the sooner this baby is out, the sooner I have a new phone!

I spoke with a Sprint rep yesterday... They told me that it will show up on the website a week before it is available. On the website, it will probably say either 'Coming Soon' or 'Temporarily Unavailable'. If you can pre-order it anywhere, I would do it. It will be hard to get this one.

i was at a one off that we have once a year to meet all our vendors and play with new models. also got to play with the kyocera 7135 also an amazing phone.

Not a big thing (I guess) but I never liked the green backlite on the keypad. It seems, humm old. Too bad it's not blue, oh well [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

When you say the menu interface is gorgeous, you're saying they changed it from the 5150's right? oh and they 4900, I don't like that spinny looking menu they have on it.
