Default Please help me. Over 24 hrs and Sprint PCS still can't make my new Treo to work...

I went to website to activate phone
When it was almost done (i already had entered a user name, pw, gotten a phone#...) the sprintpcs website went into some maintenance mode.
I had to call a human who then activated the phone part (not the data....) and who said everything should work now.
The data part did not work. Kept getting error 67 when the phone tries to update network settings (call Sprint Provisioning)
I went to website and saw that the user name I entered when first activating through the website had morphed into a system generated one.
I switched the username to something more relevant. (nothing in the website said I could not do this)
Called again and was told to wait until 1230am EST
Tried past that time and got same error
At 6am a G3 tech person reset my name/pw. Nothing same problem. She 'opened a ticket'
At 12 noon another G3 techperson said that the problem was caused by me changing user ids. I essentially had two usernames associated with me.
He expired one of them and told me to wait 4 hours.
After 4 hours I tried and got the same Error 67 msg.
Called another G3 tech person (note that to get a G3 tech I must first wait for a 'normal' tech. Then wait again for the 'G3' type)
This person said that they were having lots of problems with username and password resets and that it was being worked on.
At this point I was told that it would be hours, but not days....
I then search the web and find similar horror stories.
Should I just return everything and forget about Sprint?

Frustrated in the North East.

BTW, I have been a long distance Sprint customer since the late 80's.

If you are having any problems with your Vision handsets getting on the web take your handset to the nearest Sprint PCS retail store and have the technician flash your software. It takes less than five minutes for the technician to do and is an instant solution to get on the new Vision Network.
ALBUNDY has left the building.
