My wife is interested in purchasing a new phone. We have service throught Verizon. She currently uses a kyocera 2235, but she isn't very happy with it. She is debating between the Motorola V60 and the LG VX1. She has said that she might also be interested in the Motorola 270c, which is the phone I just purchased. She is concerned primarily with call clarity, call volume (some phones she has trouble hearing on), and signal reception. We would appreciate any thoughts you guys have on these phones. Thanks, Greg |

I too was tossed up between the two you mentioned. I was concerned because the V60 has had some negative press (as well as lots of praise). I asked my rep & he said the VX1 was more reliable (his opinion) but if I wasn't happy, I could exchange it. I too have verizon & very happy with the service. The only thing I don't like about the VX1 is the limited availablity of accessories. Perhaps too new. Time will tell. |

the reason i chose the v60c over the vx1 is because the ringer volume on the vx1 is sooooooo low! sure there are lots of nice features of the vx, like the large display, and games, but i couldnt stand how low the ringer was....if you havent tried this out, i suggest you do. you will be shocked by how low the ringer volume is. Also, stores like radio shack are selling the v60c cheaply, plus a $50 mail in rebate (which expires june 30). after rebates, you can buy the phone anywhere from $99 to $199, depending on where you shop. i recommend the v60c. the voice dialing feature is very accurate, its design is flawless, the reception is great, and you will like the metal casing much more than the plastic one on the vx1. not to mention all of the accessories which are available for the v60. |

Bleekerstreets, Thanks for the info but unfortunately I read your response a little late. I just bought my wife a VX1 on ebay after she finally decided what she wanted. I hope the ringer is loud enough because she keeps the phone in her purse when she's out and about. Time will tell. If she doesn't like it we can always sell it on ebay and buy her the v60. Thanks, Greg |
