Default lets talk antennas

as seen on my other thread that I have had coverage problems with my Nokia phones I am also wanting to add an external antenna at my home where right now I have ok signal. I have founbd a dual band cellular antenna by Antenna Specialist that appears to be getting good views but what I am wondering is since I have 2 phones instead of installing 2 antennas on the roof would a passive repeater be a good option if so would it be better to use 2 of these new AS antennas or could I use one outside and an indoor antenna indoors what would be the advantages and disadvantages of this setup Thanks for the help.

Several threads here have discussed antennas extensively. Perform a search, choosing all forums. (See the "Search" button at the top from the main Forums page.)

By the way, passive antennas have been proven to be worthless.

Also, see my list of antenna links. (Scroll down to see the antenna section.)

well I did a search under all forums and all forums related and neither is turning up any results that are showing these discussions? I found a few for specific model phones but no general info. I don't understand why a passive repeater would be useless, if I live in a "coke can" and need to get signal internally to it why would this not work? I know that you will have some loss but I am not sure that it would be that drastic.
