Great phone! I've had it now for about a week and a half, it really is a good phone. Not a perfect phone, it's not God's gift to cellular, but it is a VERY solid phone, easily the best phone Verizon, AT&T, and Cingular (if you exclude the 8890) currently offer. For you Nokia users, I too am one of you, and you will never find a user interface as good as what you have. But, the Motorola menus have gotten a million times easier than before and they are now pretty user friendly. It's taken some getting used to, and it will never be as easy as the Nokia menu, but it'll be close. Also, a bonus is the phone book, it is actually better than Nokias because you only have to enter a name once and select which number to put in. It doesn't actually group the numbers like the Samsung or Ericsson, but it makes inputing a lot easier. The main display on the inside of the phone is a little small, not as easy to glance as the bigger nokia displays. The phone IS in fact pretty difficult to open with one hand. The antenna is very flimsy as everyone knows, but it'll do, and it certainly increases reception (generally max's out when you have the antenna up). The brushed metal cover looks and feels GREAT, and it really catches the eye! It has a good weight to it, feels fairly solid for a flip phone. The side buttons are a little anoying, they stick out too far and make too much noise, but they get the job done very well (allow for declining calls, changing profile quickly, and adjusting volume during the call). But as most people in this forum realize, a phone is only as good as it's call quality and reception. This is where the phone shines. I realize reception is largely a function of the service provider, but compare reception and call quality between this phone and its kid brother, the 120, and the v60 outperforms by a lot. Especially in the call quality, the sound of the other person is crystal. I can't say enough about it other than I haven't yet dropped a call and hardly gotten so much as a bit of static to date. Needless to say, I'm a fan. It's really a good phone, and the $200 price tag it's at right now is well worth it. |

The phone market is getting pretty tight , Motorola just posted it first loss last year , so in order for Motorola to gain profit this year is to take Nokia market share which Nokia own 36% of all phones sells last year in order to make that happen, they have to make their devices users friendly.
