8600 and CLA problems?

Anyone had problems charging with their car chargers?
a customer came into the store with (what we thought) a bad charger (CLA), when you plug the CLA in it does not indicate charging at all, no battery icon or anything with the phone on or off.
we tried a mixture of 3 new phones and 3 new CLA's and got the same symptom on every CLA, even tried a different ac to dc power supply.

.... so, has anyone experienced any difficulty with charging from the car and does it indicate that it is charging at all?

Yes. I too thought the car charger did not work. Well it does. CDM8600 does not indicate when it is car charging. Why they did not put a charging scale, I guess only they know. the only way you can see it charging is by leaving your phone on and looking at the battery indicator on the phone and watch as the lines start to fill the center of the battery indicator.

i was told yesterday that there may be a recall on CLA's for the 8600... keep a eye out for it.
