Default Audiovox 9500 software upgrade in NYC

Does anyone know a Verizonicon store in NYC that has the 9500 verson 111.033 software upgrade? I'm beginning to think it's a phantom. And please don't waste your time telling me to go to CDMangels. That site is too unreliable and there's too much crap to get through to find any real information. Thanks.

Default Audiovox 9500 software upgrade in NYC

I think the only place you will find the information is at CDMAngels.

Default Audiovox 9500 software upgrade in NYC

    LOL.

That doesn't have to be the only place. If someone from NYC that managed to upgrade their 9500 to 111.033 is both here and at CDMAngels, then they could certainly post the info here...it doesn't have to be restricted to CDMAngels.

Hopefully the CDMAngels issues have been worked out for now...I was about to suggest the whole group just join WA and post in the Audiovox forum. After all, it was mostly the 9500 users that were clamoring for an Audiovox forum, and now that there is one they never post anything new here, most CDMAngels members' contributions at WA are limited to answering questions about why the 9500 is a great phone.

I realize of course no one is under obligation to post here, but I don't know if we can expect to see the Audiovox forum last very long if limited activity continues here. It didn't take long for the separate Audiovox forum at HoFo to be semi-put back in with the "other" category.

I upgraded my 9500 to 111.033 in Philadelphia about a month ago. No sweat. Took like 15 minutes to do.

To answer my own question, they have the upgrade at the Montague Street Verizonicon store in Brooklyn Heights.

I got the upgrade, didn't really notice anything...the ringer doesn't seem any louder, if anything the phone seems to run a bit slower(maybe because my phones memory is 99% full?) and the speakerphone doesn't seem so distorted on full volume(maybe just 3 months of breaking in?).
