ATT Sony Ericsson 68ti

okay after lurking here for the past hour reading many posts my question is this...

Has anyone successfully gotten ATT icon

to give them or have them unlock their 68t/68ti.

Anyone?

If not, what has been their explination for not unlocking the phone... I would hate to go out and buy one now since the rebates at the moment are good. i really want to switch to a triband phone because i visit family overseas for a measly 2 weeks out of the year. unfortunatly i'm stuck with ATT for a while so the "friendly" unlocking TMOBILE service is out of the question.

t68i for $50. You don't have to send me your phone either. I'll send you the software, the instructions, and the cable, and you can do it right from your computer.

Such as what? I may know someone who can do it if I can't. I can do almost all Nokias and I can do the t68m/i.

Currently AT&T icon

will not unlock your phone for you. You will need to get your phone
unlocked through other means.

AT&T

sales person informed me that they will not unlock phones but to ask sony erricson to unlock it. emailed sony erricson and they wont unlock the phone either so it's a change of service providers for me. time for Tmobile icon

since other threads have stated that Tmobile icon

will unlock thier phones if you email them.

T-Mobile

will only unlock the phone id you got the phone from them, because they don't have the unlock codes to phones that they have not purchased, such as an AT&T icon

phone. AT&T icon

does not under any known circumstances unlock their phones.
Sony Ericsson will not unlock it, because they have agreements with the providers to not unlock the phones at the request of customers, that was the reason why Sony Ericsson put the locked software on the phone, because the providers requested it that way.

I can unlock the t68m/i models. If you're interested in me unlocking your phone, please contact me at sales@alienwireless.net. By the way, you don't have to send me your phone, for me to unlock it.
